During the conference, we were again able to offer a Children’s Therapy/Education Session for ages 4-12.

The morning therapy session was Studio E:  The Epilepsy Art Therapy Program helping children work their emotion, anxiety and stress through art. Studio E provides children an opportunity to express emotions through fun and engaging activities. It builds a sense of community and connection, gives a voice to kids with epilepsy and helps kids connect with other kids their age who also experience epilepsy. Studio E was provided by a Board Certified Art Therapist and is a program in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation of America and Lundbeck. The afternoon educational session continued on with Studio E, but in smaller groups, along with music therapy.  Music therapy was provided by a Board Certified Music Therapist and is used to help individuals of all ages deal with physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs.

We continue to invite exhibitors every year. We are grateful for their participation bringing you more information about available supports and services in iowa.
